Fair Energy

It is simply FAIR that everyone should have access to sustainable, reliable ENERGY to drive social impact in education, health, and agri-food.

Today, access to electricity remains highly unequal worldwide, even though solar solutions could transform entire communities. That’s why we created the Fair Energy model:

  • A clear, accessible framework to turn ideas into concrete renewable-energy projects.
  • Tailored support: we guide project leaders, often from the diaspora, in designing, structuring, and financing their initiatives.
  • Everyone can contribute to Fair Energy’s fundraising, which finances sustainable development projects. Donations are directed straight to approved projects supported by the diaspora.
  • A multiplier effect: each project can benefit from a matching fund of up to 50% of its target.

If you would like to support Fair Energy without choosing a specific project, you can make a donation to the general fund: Fair Energy. This money is entirely dedicated to the projects we facilitate and allows us to take action where the need is most urgent. In this way, you support our overall philanthropic work, rather than a single project, while ensuring that 100% of your contribution directly benefits the sustainable energy initiatives we support.

Donate to Fair Energy to help provide sustainable energy for diaspora development initiatives:

👉 Do you have a project that falls within the scope of Fair Energy and the UP! Energise program?

You are welcome to contact us. Urban Product is here to help you transform your initiative into a solid project, funded and implemented thanks to the collective power of the diaspora and our partners.

Energise Mame Diarra Diallo center

The fundraiser will replace the solar batteries of the Mame Diarra Diallo Center in Dakhar Mbaye (Thiès, Senegal) to restore its energy autonomy, night-time safety, and the continuity of shelter, care, and training. The center supports vulnerable people, especially women, girls, and children who are survivors of violence, abuse, and harmful practices affecting the health of women and children, particularly female genital mutilation.

Every contribution counts, no matter the amount; every share does too. Together, let’s switch the lights back on and above all, hope!

Secondary School BIH Nkambe

NFUH Wimbum Europe, created in July 2021, brings together people from the Wimbum ethnic group living in Europe, to promote their culture and traditions. In February 2024, the group became a non-profit organisation to better meet the expectations of its members and support solidarity initiatives. Their current project aims to raise €10,326.53 to electrify the secondary school in the village of BIH, in the north-west region of Cameroon, which has been hit by a political crisis. The installation, carried out by Solarly, will provide 400 pupils with access to digital education via reliable, environmentally-friendly photovoltaic kits.
