UP! Energise Senegal

In Senegal, the electrification rate has reached 74%, but the grid remains structurally deficient, with frequent outages limiting the reliability of supply. Rapid population growth further increases pressure on energy demand. The Fair Energy model makes perfect sense in this context, providing stable and sustainable solar solutions. To ensure long-term effectiveness, Urban Product relies on local energy experts capable of delivering high-quality installation and tailored after-sales service. In 2023, remittances from the diaspora amounted to more than 3 billion dollars, nearly 10% of GDP, a considerable lever to support structuring projects.

In Senegal, our projects are carried out in partnership with Nadji.Bi Group, an innovative company founded in 2014 and specialized in impactful solar solutions for agricultural value chains (production and processing). Nadji.Bi also serves as a trusted partner for domestic and community energy needs. With a strong local presence, Nadji.Bi designs, installs, and maintains the deployed solutions, ensuring both reliability and durability. This partnership enables us to provide beneficiary communities with sustainable access to solar electricity, while strengthening local skills and supporting the Senegalese economy.
