The “L’Œil de l’Avenir” school project in Nkozoa, near Yaoundé, was fully funded and implemented thanks to the Energise Cameroon initiative. The installation electrified this school of 300 students, providing reliable lighting for classrooms and a stable power supply for IT and administrative equipment. This project is the first concrete achievement of the programme and demonstrates the work accomplished to offer the Cameroonian diaspora a reliable framework for investing in sustainable energy. This achievement highlights the power of collective mobilisation and the effectiveness of a model that combines solidarity, social innovation, and lasting impact.
The project was made possible thanks to support from the Signify Foundation, which contributed 2,181.84€, and the Province of West Flanders, which provided 2,727.93€. These contributions enabled the electrification of the school and highlight the importance of collaboration between foundations, public institutions, and diaspora initiatives.
