Following the passage of Hurricane Melissa on October 28, 2025, the island of Jamaica was transformed into a disaster zone: entire neighborhoods were destroyed, infrastructure was severely damaged, including power plants and the electricity distribution network. In the parish of St Elizabeth, where Treasure Beach is located, the population has been living without electricity since the catastrophe. This means, very concretely, no lighting, no ventilation, no cooling, no possibility of charging a phone, computer, or lamp, and for many, an inability to work or resume normal daily activities.
In this context, the Fair Energy Treasure Beach initiative aims to provide a rapid, concrete, and sustainable response by funding the acquisition of medium-sized portable solar generators to be distributed within the community. The selected model is the Anker SOLIX F2000 (2400 W), accompanied by two 400 W solar panels. Easy to install, resistant to local weather conditions, and covered by a warranty and after-sales service, these generators will allow residents to charge essential devices, power small refrigerators and fans, and eventually reduce their electricity expenses even after the emergency phase has passed.
By supporting Fair Energy Treasure Beach, you directly help restore a minimum level of comfort and dignity for the residents of this heavily affected community, giving them access to a clean, reliable, and immediately usable source of energy. Each donation helps fund an additional unit and place it in the hands of those who need it most.
