UP! Lab: Fountain Project

Changing consumption habits also means rethinking the way we drink on a daily basis.

In 2025, UP! Lokal launched a pilot project focused on access to sustainable drinking water, in collaboration with RobiWater – Robinetto. The goal of this initiative is to reduce bottled water consumption in neighborhoods by offering a more sustainable, accessible, and economical alternative.

The first two water fountains have already been installed: one at the butcher shop “Chez Hmida” in Anderlecht, and the other at the Alhambra Youth Center (AMO Brussels). At the latter location, young people use the fountain daily, and reusable water bottles have also been distributed to encourage more sustainable consumption habits.

This project represents both an economical solution for residents, a concrete step toward reducing plastic waste, and a collective effort aimed at changing daily consumption habits.

This initiative is a first step, with the goal of further expanding this type of installation to other locations and neighborhoods.
